Juan Luis Hernandez died Friday, April 12, 2019 in Muleshoe, Texas at the age of 65 years, 6 months and 26 days. He was born September 16, 1953 in Tyler, Texas to Celestino and Jovita (Pena) Hernandez. He married Dianna Rodriguez on June 8, 1973.

Juan was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Lubbock, Texas. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, Clovis Council as well as the Fraternal Order of Eagles. He is preceded in death by a sister, Gloria Hernandez.

Juan is survived by his wife, Dianna; his son, Jonas Hernandez of Clovis, New Mexico; his two daughters, Joni Merigan and her husband, Patrick of Lazbuddie, Texas and Janis Gonzales and her fiancé, Francisco Noguera of Sierra Vista, Arizona; his mother, Jovita Hernandez of Clovis, New Mexico; his father, Celestino Herenandez of Louisiana; his three sisters, Delia Pineda of Hobbs, New Mexico, Anna Loya of Texico, New Mexico and Thelma Hernandez of Farwell, Texas; his three brothers, Celestino Hernandez Jr. of Albuquerque, New Mexico, David Hernandez of Clovis, New Mexico and Dario Hernandez of Clovis, New Mexico; three granddaughters, Jordan Hernandez, Mikayla Merigan and Miriam Noguera; and two great-grandchildren, Averee Marie Richmond and Serenity Richmond.
