Obituary for Doyle W King
Doyle W. King died Tuesday, December 25, 2018 in Muleshoe, Texas at the age of 86 years, 5 months and 10 days. He was born July 15, 1932 in Childress County, Texas to Mont and Bertha (Row) King. He married Lela Sue Speck in Lubbock, Texas on December 6, 1958.
Doyle served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. After being discharged, he worked for the U.S. Postal Service for over 30 years as a carrier and a clerk. After retiring, Doyle drove a school bus for Muleshoe ISD for 13 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Muleshoe. He is preceded in death by his parents and his 3 brothers, Jim King, Lloyd King and J.R. King.
Doyle is survived by his wife, Lela Sue; his son, Robert King and his wife, Carrie of Amarillo, Texas; his daughter, Rhonda King of Muleshoe, Texas; four grandchildren, Steven Madrid, Timothy Madrid, Amanda Shaver (AJ) and Ranger King; and three great-grandchildren, Maya Madrid, Cooper Chafitz and Sofia Madrid.
The family suggests memorials be sent to the Onieta Wagnon Senior Center, PO Box 292, Muleshoe, Texas, 79347.
